Disclaimer for Services

There are a number of ways you may choose to work with me that are available to purchase or book through my website. The terms and conditions in this document apply to all of my services and products unless alternative terms are explicitly provided to you.

I offer:

• Naturopathic Consultations

My intention in offering these services is to support you to improve your health.

Why Work with Me?

I am a qualified Naturopath who has successfully completed a Bachelor of Science (Naturopathy) with Endeavour College of Natural Health. I am a practicing member of the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA) which requires me to have a minimum 4-year degree qualification, meet annual continuing professional education (CPE) requirements, and adhere to the NHAA Code of Conduct and guidelines. My qualifications and association membership are evidence of my responsibility to provide you with access to safe, naturopathic and herbal medicine treatments.

What I Expect from You

As your naturopath, I’m committed to providing you with personalised care and guidance to empower you in your health journey. I will create treatment plans to suit you, but you will need to be honest and transparent with me so that we can develop treatment recommendations that are achievable and sustainable. This collaborative approach means I expect your active participation and commitment to my recommendations and also an openness to try different approaches in regards to dietary recommendations, herbal medicine, and lifestyle change.

Naturopathic treatment aims at achieving long-term health improvements by treating the root causes of ill health. This includes managing your current symptoms to offer you relief in the short-term. My overall approach is to work holistically so you can gain long-term health improvements. This requires a level of personal and time commitment to your healing. As much as I would love to help you heal instantly, there are no silver bullets with long-term health. If this doesn’t sound like what you’re after then I would ask you to have a think about what you’re looking for from my services and decide if they are right for you.

Important Information

While naturopathy is an evidenced-based practice and I strive to provide you with comprehensive care, it’s essential to recognise that both medical or complimentary medicine interventions have limitations and potential risks. In the event of a reaction to your treatment such as a new symptom or adverse effect from an intervention, please contact me immediately and I will work through with you. My contact email is as follows larissa@nextdoornature.com.au

In the event of a medical emergency or if you experience severe symptoms, it is important to seek immediate medical attention by contacting emergency services or visiting the nearest healthcare facility.

Naturopathy is a journey and results often take time to be noticed. If you work with me, I’ll be transparent and offer realistic healing time frames and goals. I’ll manage your expectations so that you know where you stand throughout your treatment.

Mental Health Statement

I may refer you to other healthcare professionals or specialists if your condition requires additional evaluation or treatment beyond my scope of practice.

Professional Advice

If any concerns arise during our work together, I strongly recommend you seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

You will get the most out of working with me if you are committed and open to changing your current diet and lifestyle. If you want to be heard and your health issues assessed holistically.

You might not be a good fit if you are looking for a quick fix, aren’t open and truthful in our consultations, and are not committed to long term health improvement.

Indemnity

Content Errors I do not make any guarantees or warranties about the accuracy of any material displayed on this website, or the products, services, or programs offered through it, except for any non-excludable consumer guarantees and other consumer protection provisions set out in the Australian Consumer Law. I am human and errors creep in despite the best of intentions. If you see something that doesn’t seem right, please let me know at larissa@nextdoornature.com.au.

Loss or Damage

While I make all reasonable efforts to ensure that this website and my services meet with the highest standards of best practice, if something does go wrong that is not a direct result of my negligence, misrepresentation or deliberate fault, you agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of or related to my website, any products or services purchased through it, or any material posted on it, irrespective of whether such damages were foreseeable, and regardless of the nature of the claim.

Liability for Advice

You take full responsibility for your implementation of any suggestions that I may make while providing my services. You understand that my advice is limited to providing you with options for your consideration, and that you are solely responsible for any actions that you choose to take. Always consult your own values and vision, do your own research, and check with appropriately qualified professionals before making major decisions or significant changes. You agree to indemnify me against all consequences arising directly or indirectly from your choices.

Cap on Damages

You expressly agree that if this indemnity is unenforceable for any reason, my total cumulative liability for all causes of action of any kind (other than negligence or deliberate wrongdoing) shall not exceed the amount that you have paid to me.

Payment Terms

All prices on my website are in Australian dollars and are not subject to GST.

I accept payment on booking via Stripe.

Payment is due prior to receiving my services.

Payment plans are offered for your convenience only, so you can spread your payment out over time. You are still committed to paying the whole amount, even if you change your mind about your purchase, as you I have completed the work for you. It is your responsibility to ensure you have sufficient funds to make payment instalments on time.

If an invoice is more than 28 days overdue, you agree to pay all costs, including debt collection agency fees and solicitor’s costs, that I may incur in taking steps to recover any money that you owe to me, regardless of whether legal proceedings are issued in relation to the debt.

Refund Policy

I do not offer a refund if you change your mind, so you are encouraged to consider carefully whether a purchase is right for you before you make your payment.

I take my obligations under Australian Consumer Law seriously and will do my best to address any issues that arise. However, even if there is a major problem, my liability is strictly limited to:

·       providing the services again; or

·       if I am unable to do so within a reasonable time, refunding the full amount that you have paid to me.

If you feel that there is any problem with my services, please let me know within 24 hours. I am keen to understand what has gone wrong if you are unhappy so that I can address your concerns and try to find a mutually acceptable solution.

Delivery

If anything is unclear or confusing, I encourage you to reach out to me so I can provide clarification.

Postage charges are determined by third-party supplier companies that I use for my prescriptions. If you have any issues with the postage of your ordered products, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can follow up with the company.

Appointment Policies

Due to the amount of preparation I do before our call, I require at least 24 hours’ notice in order to reschedule a session. If you provide me with less than 24 hours’ notice or fail to turn up, you will forfeit 10% your payment for the session. If I have agreed to a payment plan, you will still be required to pay 10% of the total cost of that session. If you are prevented from attending our session due to an emergency beyond your control, please contact me as soon as possible to let me know. I may agree to reschedule at my discretion.

My appointments are online so please set yourself up in a private, quiet area. A café or public space is not suitable. Please reschedule if you are going to be driving or supervising young children to ensure you get the most out of the appointment.
